Refund Policy
Short version: Histiq has a 14-day free trial — no charge until the trial ends. If you’re charged and not satisfied, contact us within 30 days for a full refund, no questions asked.
1. Free Trial
Every new Histiq subscription begins with a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged during this period. No credit card or payment information is required to start the trial.
If you do not wish to continue after the trial, simply do nothing — you will never be charged. The trial ends automatically and your indexed history will be frozen.
2. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
If you are charged for a Histiq subscription and are not satisfied for any reason, you may request a full refund within 30 days of the charge date.
- No questions asked.
- Applies to both Monthly and Annual plans.
- For Annual subscriptions, the full annual amount will be refunded if the request is made within 30 days of the charge.
To request a refund, email us at support@histiq.com with the subject line “Refund Request”. Include the email address you used at checkout and the approximate purchase date. We will process your refund within 5 business days.
3. Refunds After 30 Days
Refund requests submitted more than 30 days after the charge date are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We are generally unable to issue refunds for:
- Subscription periods more than 30 days in the past.
- Situations where the extension was used extensively during the period.
If you have a special circumstance, please contact us and we will do our best to help.
4. Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. If you did not intend to renew:
- You can cancel before renewal from the Paddle billing portal in the extension Settings.
- If you were charged on a renewal and contact us within 7 days of the renewal date, we will issue a full refund.
5. How Refunds Are Processed
All payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing time depends on your bank or card issuer and typically takes 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
You will receive a confirmation email from Paddle when the refund is initiated.
